A funeral will be held Thursday, August 26, 2010 for 69-year-old Darvin Edgar Rubel of Perryville who died August 23, 2010 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born September 23rd, 1940 in Cape Girardeau, the son of Edgar Jacob and Elva (Heise) Rubel.
He married Rita Favier Rubel on August 4, 1962. She survives in Perryville.
He is also survived by two daughters: Tammy (Kent) Grayum of Festus and Debbie (Donnie) Schlitt of Oran; a son: Gary Rubel of Smithton, Illinois and four grandchildren: Tyler, Brooke and Blake Schlitt and Dylan Grayum.
He was a farmer.
He worked for the federal government in soil conservation and as a mapping agent.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, VFW Post 4282 and American Legion Post 133.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 25th and 6:30-8:15 a.m. Thursday, August 26th at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 69-year-old Darvin Edgar Rubel of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 26th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate.
Burial will be in the Church Cemetery with military burial rites by American Legion Post 133.
Memorials may be made to the Arthritis or Diabetes Foundations.
