Ruesler, Erich Heinrich

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000 for 96-year-old Erich H. Ruesler of Perryville who died Jan. 12 at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born on Dec. 16, 1903 in Bollinger County, the son of the late William C. and Wilhelmina (Bangert) Ruesler.

He was married to Nettie Emde in 1928. She preceded him death.

He was married to Clara (Laurentius) Buerck in 1940. She preceded him in death.

He married Clara (Bergman) Rudisaile in 1968. She preceded him in death.

He married Flora (Garrett) Obermeyer in 1987. She survives in Perryville.

One son and daughter-in-law survive, Richard and Katty Ruesler of Sedgewickville; one daughter and son-in-law, Viola and Oscar Preusser of St. Louis; two step sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Ida Buerck of Perryville and Gary Obermeyer of Texas;

Six step daughters survive: Anna Martin of Perryville; Vilet of Cape Girardeau; Gilberta Scott of Festus; Mavis Worley of Mississippi; Marilyn Zimmermonn of Pennsylvania; and Elvina McGee of Perryville.

Two sisters survive: Emma Geringer and Lena Laurentius, both of Perryville.

Seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 41 step grandchildren, 70 step great-grandchildren; and 6 step great great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death one daughter, Doris Ruesler; two step-daughters, Thelma Clements and Margery Winschel; two sisters, Ella Alkemeyer and Leona Bangert, two step grandchildren; and one infant brother.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-9 p.m. and Saturday from 6:30-9:00 a.m. at Young and Sons Chapel.

Funeral service for Erich H. Ruesler will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim. Rev. David Burge and Rev. Adam Mueller will co-officiate.

Burial in the church cemetery.

Memorial preference is to Trinity Lutheran Church.
