Sadler, Dorothy M. (nee Eaker)
Dorothy M. Sadler, 90, of Cape Girardeau, MO died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.
She was born September 2, 1923 in Bollinger County, MO to the late Elmer and Lucy (Rowe) Eaker.
She and Donald C. Sadler were married June 8, 1942 at Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2009.
Dorothy was a 60 year member of Red Star Baptist Church. She loved decorating her home and taking care of her flowers.
Survivors include a son, Larry (Kathy) Sadler of Cape Girardeau, MO; sister, Geraldine Ross of Cape Girardeau, MO; grandchildren, Allison (Ryan) Davis of Cape Girardeau and Greg (Kate) Sadler of Kirkwood, MO; great-grandchildren, Raleigh, Brogan, Grayson and Sarah McKinley Davis, Ellinore Sadler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald C. Sadler; one brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will be Sunday, May 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Rick Crump officiating.
Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park & Mausoleum.
