Sample, Ruth Jane (nee Pulliam)
Ruth Jane Sample, 73, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, March 26, 2010, at her home. She was born Jan. 27, 1936, at Patton, Mo., to Harley Andrew and Mettie Mary Grindstaff Pulliam. She married James R. Sample on Feb. 18, 1967.
Ruth was a member of the VFW Post 3838 Women's Auxiliary and was also a longtime member of the Festus Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, James R. Sample of Cape Girardeau; a brother, George Pulliam of Patton; and a sister, Pearl South of Pacific, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
Entombment will follow at Cape Girardeau County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
