Sauer, Lonnie L.
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lonnie L. Sauer, 92, of Perryville died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in Perryville.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The parish wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Maurus Catholic Cemetery at Biehle, Mo., with military rites provided by VFW Post 4282 and Missouri Delta Team.

A funeral will be held Friday, November 16, 2012 for 92-year-old Lonnie L. Sauer of Perryville, who died November 11, 2012 at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in Perryville.
He was born February 17, 1920 in Apple Creek, the son of Ferd and Rosa (Leible) Sauer.
He married Lorene A. Gebhardt October 20, 1945. She preceded him in death on October 2, 2004.
He is survived by two daughters: Sandra Schnorbus (Clarence Leicht) of Warrenton and Diana (Bob) Unterreiner of Mehlville; three sisters: Leola Hotop, Eleanora Guth and Rosemary Dudley; two brothers: Florian Sauer and Ferd Sauer Jr.; six grandchildren: Kevin (Gina) Schwebs, Kelly Kirkpatrick, Jill (Paul) Gebken, Jay (Carrie) Unterreiner, Joy (Matt) Roth, Jackie Unterreiner; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Virginia Sauer and Alvera Bellm; two brothers: Urban and Walbert Sauer; and a great-granddaughter: Jordan Unterreiner.
He was retired from Wagner Electric Corporation.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, VFW Post 4282, American Legion Post 133 and AmVets Post 94.
He was a US Army Air Corp veteran of WW II.
