Schamburg, Jason J. and Amy E. (nee Schumer)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Amy E. and Jason J. Schamburg, both 31, of Perryville died Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, in a motorcycle accident in Perry County.
Amy was born May 24, 1975, in Perryville, daughter of Gary and Norma Christisen Schumer.
She was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. Amy was a secretary at Schumer Brothers. She had previously been a registered nurse at Perry County Memorial Hospital, Perry Oaks Manor, and at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, and an operator with Southwestern Bell.
Jason was born Nov. 20, 1974, in Ste. Genevieve, Mo., son of David and Sandra Harter Schamburg.
He was owner/operator of J.D. Premier Contractors.
They were married Aug. 19, 2000. They were members of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Amy and Jason are survived by two sons, Justin and Dalton Schamburg of the home.
Amy is also survived by her parents; a brother, Doug Schumer; paternal grandparents Norbert and Alma Schumer; and maternal grandmother Evelyn Schubert, all of Perryville.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather.
Jason is survived by his father of Chester, Ill.; mother and stepfather, Sandra and Lorin Eggemeyer of Ava, Ill.; maternal grandmother Elvina Harter of Ste. Genevieve; paternal grandmother Elvira Schamburg of Perryville; stepgrandmother Ruby Eggemeyer of Chester; two stepbrothers, Joel Eggemeyer of Carbondale, Ill., John Perkins of Perryville; four stepsisters, Dalyn Carbajal of North Hollywood, Calif., Tammy, Toni and Tiffany Perkins of Perryville.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. The Catholic wake will be at 6 p.m. Friday, and the rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Justin and Dalton Schamburg Trust Fund at First State Community Bank in Perryville.
