PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- David P. Schaupert, 61, of Perryville died Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at his home. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to service time Sunday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. A funeral will be held Sunday, September 25, 2011 for 61-year-old David P. Schaupert of Perryville who died September 23, 2011 at his residence.
He was born October 1, 1949 in Cape Girardeau, the son of Everett and Melva (Haertling) Schaupert who both preceded him in death.
He married Joy Clifton January 20, 1973. She survives in Perryville.
He is survived by two sons: Shane (Tammy) Schaupert of Columbia and Pacer Schaupert of Perryville; two daughters: Kimberly Schaupert of Perryville and Crystal (Matt) Highfill of Jackson; two brothers: Calvin and Roy Schaupert both of Perryville; and five grandchildren: Cain, Zach, Skylar, Tyler and Sierra Schaupert.
He retired from Proctor & Gamble after 29 years. He was an avid bowler and a bowling coach for youth bowling.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for David Schaupert will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. The Rev. Steve Frances will officiate.
Burial will be in the Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Crosstown.
Memorials are preferred to Relay For Life to be presented by family.
