Schlichting, Charles H.

FROHNA, Mo. -- Charles H. Schlichting, 55, of Frohna died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, at his home.

He was born April 1, 1947, at Cape Girardeau, son of John and Ruth Barber Schlichting.

Schlichting was an equipment operator for Martin Marietta. He was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church, National Guard and American Legion Post 133 in Perryville, Mo.

Survivors include one son, Jim Schlichting of Frohna; one brother, John Schlichting of Perryville; three sisters, Sharon Miranda of Washington, Mo., Ruth Kruse of Cape Girardeau and Michelle Goodwin of Slaughter, Ky.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter and one twin sister.

Friends may call at the Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg, Mo., from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Monday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Concordia Lutheran Church at Frohna, with the Rev. Wayne Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military graveside services provided by American Legion Post 133.

A funeral was held Monday, September 9th, 2002 for 55-year-old Charles H. Schlichting of Frohna, who died Friday, September 6th at his home.

He was born April 1, 1947 in Cape Girardeau, the son of John and Ruth (Barber) Schlichting who both preceded him in death.

A son, Jim Schlichting of Frohna, survives him.

One brother, John Schlichting of Perryville, and three sisters, Sharon Miranda of Washington, Ruth Kruse of Cape Girardeau and Michelle Goodwin of Slaughter, Kentucky, also survive.

Two grandchildren also survive him.

A daughter, Connie and a twin sister, Carol, also preceded him in death.

He was an equipment operator for Martin Marietta and a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church, National Guard and American Legion Post No. 133 in Perryville.

A funeral for 55-year-old Charles H. Schlichting of Frohna was held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 9th, at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna. Burial was in the church cemetery with a military graveside service provided by the American Legion Post No. 33, Perryville. The Rev. Wayne Palmer officiated.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Southeast Hospice.
