Schnurbusch, Leroy "Leo"  Joseph

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Leroy "Leo" Schnurbusch, 71, of Perryville died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Ala.

He was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Perryville, son of Theodore Benjamin and Regina B. Wibbenmeyer Schnurbusch. He married Kay Lynn Lewis.

Schnurbusch was a civil service logistician for the U.S. Army. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Huntsville, and was a fourth degree member of Knights of Columbus.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Russell Schnurbusch of Birmingham, Ala.; a brother, Jerome Schnurbusch of Perryville; two sisters, Bernice French of Perryville and Mary Kertz of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Parish prayers with Knights of Columbus will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, with military honors courtesy of American Legion Post 133.
