Scholz, Joe W.
Joe W. Scholz, 48, of Jackson, passed away Friday, January 18, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 14, 1964, in Cape Girardeau, to Bob and Joan Proffer Scholz.
Joe was a 1982 graduate of Jackson High School. He formerly worked at Rhodes Travel Center and Manpower in Cape Girardeau, and Lee Rowan and the Dollar General Store in Jackson. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping, and cooking.
Loving survivors include his parents of Jackson; a brother, Randy Scholz of Jackson; two sisters, Kay (Wayne) Wolak of Jackson, Debbie Nieder of Washington, Mo.; one nephew; one niece; two great-nephews; and four great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Rick Proffer; a niece, Jami Wolak; paternal grandparents, William and Edith Scholz; and maternal grandparents, Bill and Alma Proffer.
Cremation will be accorded by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. There will be no services.
