Schremp, Glennon J.
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Glennon J. Schremp, 79, of Perryville died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 4, 1933, in Perryville, son of Arthur and Bernice Fenwick Schremp. He and Velda Mattingly were married Sept. 4, 1955.
Mr. Schremp was co-owner of Schremp Feed Store. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Post 133.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Rick (Donna) Schremp of Perryville; three daughters, Bonnie (Mark) Renner and Peggy Valleroy of Perryville, Denise (Jerry) Bader of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; a brother, Weldon Schremp of Perryville; and a sister, Betty DeRousse of Dupo, Ill.
Also 10 grandchildren, Lindsey Wagoner, Todd and Tara Renner, Ashley Westmoreland, Kristen Yamnitz, Matthew, Hannah and Benjamin Schremp, Brett and Alina Bader; and four great-grandchildren, Avery and Alex Wagoner, Madelyn Rhodes and Macy Westmoreland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Laverne Marr and Shirley Mattingly; three brothers, Hubert, Elvis and Howard Schremp.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. A Catholic wake will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, and a rosary will be said at 8:30 a.m. Monday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Entombment will be in Mary Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
Memorials to Masses are preferred.
