A funeral will be held Monday, January 26th, 2009 for 77-year-old Howard P. Schremp of Perryville who died Thursday, January 22nd at his home.
He was born November 5th, 1931 in Perry County, the son of Arthur and Bernice Fenwick Schremp, who both preceded in death.
He married Jean Hunt on September 1st, 1951 in Perryville. She survives in Perryville.
He is also survived by a son and daughter in law: Wayne and Joyce Schremp of Perryville; six daughters and four sons in law: Nancy Hoff of Perryville, Cathy Owens and Guy Bieller of Perryville, Laurie and Tim Martin of Perryville, Karen and Scott Brickhaus of Lithium, Susan and Tim Thompson of Kelso and Sheila Schremp of Kansas City; a sister and brother in law: Betty and Don DeRousse of Dupo, Illinois; two brothers and sisters in law: Weldon and Pat Schremp and Glennon and Velda Schremp all of Perryville; 12 grandchildren and three step grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son: Gary Lee Schremp; son in law: Ronald Hoff; three grandbabies; two brothers, Hubert and Elvis Schremp and two sisters: LaVerne Marr and Shirley Mattingly.
He was the co-owner of Schremp's Feed Store in McBride. He was also a truck driver for MBC Cereal Fines, Inc. in McBride until his retirement.
He was a member of the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday, January 25th and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Monday, January 26th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. The Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
A funeral mass for 77-year-old Howard P. Schremp of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 26th at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno. The Revs. Bill Rhinehart and Patrick Harrity will co-officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Southeast Hospice or to masses at Sereno.
