FROHNA, Mo. -- Edgar Henry "Smokey" Schuessler, 87, of Frohna died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville, Mo. He was born March 18, 1914, at Farrar, Mo., son of Martin H. and Hedwig M. Mangels Schuessler. Schuessler was a retired farm laborer and lumber stacker at East Perry Lumber Co. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church at Frohna...

A funeral will be held Friday, October 19th, 2001 for 86-year-old Edgar Henry "Smokey" Schuessler of Frohna who died Tuesday, October 16th at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 18th, 1914 in Farrar, the son of Martin H. and Hedwig M. (Mangels) Schuessler who both preceded him in death.

He is survived by two brothers, Wilbert of New Wells and Hilmer of Perryville and by a sister, Lucille Schlichting, of Wittenburg.

Five brothers, Erwin, Elmer, Melvin, Vernold and Milton and one sister, Erna Hadler, also preceded him in death.

He was a retired farm laborer and lumber stacker at East Perry Lumber Company and was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 18th from 5-8 p.m. and Friday, October 19th from 6:30-8:30 a.m. at the Young and Sons East Perry Chapel.

A funeral for 86-year-old Edgar Henry "Smokey" Schuessler of Frohna will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 19th at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna. Burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Palmer will officiate.
