Schumer, Minnie C. (nee Huber)
Funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000 for 79-year-old Minnie C. Schumer of Perryville who died Monday, Nov. 6 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Dec. 13, 1920 in Milheim, Mo., the daughter of the late Bernard and Julie (Barks) Huber.
She was married to Herman J. Schumer Jr.. He preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1996.
Seven children survive: Russell Schumer of Old Appleton; Roger Schumer of St. Louis; Allen Schumer of Perryville; Stephen Schumer of Perryville; Gary Schumer of Orlando, Fla; Kathy McCune of Perryville; and Mary Schafroth of Perryville.
Twenty-five grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren also survive.
Five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Vincent de paul Catholic Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 4-9 p.m. and on Thursday, Nov. 9 from 6:30-9:40 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home. Parish wake Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass for Minnie C. Schumer will be held Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Kevin Fausz CM will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Memorial preference is to St. Vincent de Paul School System.
