Seabaugh, Adolph Lee "Bus"

A.L. "Bus" Seabaugh, of Stout Road, 48 years old, assistant chemist at the Marquette Cement Co. Plant, died at 7 o'clock Friday at Barnes Hospital where he had been admitted the same day. He had been in ill health several years but had been at his work this week. On Friday Mrs. Seabaugh and his sister, Mrs. Henry Brandes of Jackson accompanied him to the hospital for an examination.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Brinkopf-Howell Funeral Home by Rev. Arne H. Franke of Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with Masonic rites.

Mr. Seabaugh is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Seabaugh; his mother, Mrs. J.L. Seabaugh of Cape; two brothers, Lester Seabaugh of Cape and Maj. Paul Seabaugh of Washington, D.C.; and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Keller of Shreveport, La.; and Mrs. Henry Brandes of Jackson Route 2.

Born in Cape Girardeau on Feb. 27, 1907, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Seabaugh, his father having passed away a number of years ago. He attended public school here and was graduated from Central High School. In 1926 he went to work in the laboratory of the cement plant and for the past 25 years had been assistant chemist. On Feb. 2, 1926, he was married to Miss Dorothy Hinkle.
Mr. Seabaugh was prominent in the Masonic Lodge here, being past master of the Blue Lodge and Council and held offices in the Chapter and Commandery. He was also a member of the White Shrine. He was a member of the Foreman's Club of the cement plant, and engaged in much bowling. He was a bowler in the cement league and in other leagues.

Pallbearers will be Guy Matthews, Fred Nicholas, Wm. Barks, Anderson Hayden, E.B. Stone and Ernest Niswonger. The foreman of the Marquette plant will be honerary pallbearers.
