Seabaugh, Edgar Harlen
Ed Seabaugh, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born June 18, 1909, at Daisy, Mo., son of Julius and Effie Friese Seabaugh. He and Marie Lacy were married in 1933 in Blytheville, Ark. She died May 4, 1976.
Ed grew up in Daisy. He had worked at International Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau and Poplar Bluff, Mo. He owned and operated Ed's Shoe Shop for 20 years. He attended Barber College in St. Louis in 1970, and operated Ed's Barber Shop until retiring in 1999.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and John Magill of Merrimack, N.H., Betty and Andy Weisel of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; four grandchildren, Brooke "Liz" Magill, Todd Magill, Ben Weisel, Chris Weisel; a great-grandchild, Gabby Magill; and a special friend, Marge Meystedt of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be John Magill, Andy Weisel, Chris Weisel, Ben Weisel, Todd Magill and Brooke Magill.
Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Home.
