Seabaugh, Elsie Minta Opal (nee Parsons)

Elsie Minta Opal Seabaugh, 87, died Saturday, July 27, 2002, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born November 20, 1914 at Twelve Mile, Mo., daughter of Virgil and Gertrude Alexander Parsons.

She married John "Cam" Seabaugh on Oct. 2, 1935 at Greenville, Mo. He preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 1983.

Seabaugh was a member of the Maple United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau, and was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of the Entre Nous Club for 50 years, and was a resident of Cape Girardeau for over 50 years.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles F. and Judy Seabaugh; and another son, John L. Seabaugh, all of Cape Girardeau. A daughter and son-in-law, Judy Jacobs Bollinger and Greg, of Cape Girardeau, also survive. Other survivors are a sister, June Gallagher, of Broken Bow, Okla., and grandchildren Minta Comte, Kerensa Beasley, Cammi Boren, Steve Seabaugh, Scott Seabaugh, and Stan Seabaugh. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Laci Beasley, Archie "Jr." Beasley, Curtis Boren, Caleigh Boren, Jacob Comte, Taylor Comte, Morgan Seabaugh, and Audrie Seabaugh. Son-in-law Curtis W. Jacobs of Thebes, Ill. also survives.

Seabaugh was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Cammie Lee Seabaugh; six brothers, and two sisters.

Visitation will be at the Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday

The funeral service will be at the Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Jim Cooper officiating.

Pallbearers will be Steven Seabaugh, Scott Seabaugh, Stan Seabaugh, David Comte, Tim Gallagher, and Ted Parsons.

Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, Mo.

Memorials may be made to the Maple Unite Methodist Church.
