Seabaugh, Nora Nelda (nee Bock)

Nora Seabaugh, 87, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012, at her home near Gordonville.

She was born June 13, 1925, near Delta, to Otto and Martha Tuschhoff Bock. She was a 1943 graduate of Delta High School.

Nora and Alvin Seabaugh were married April 1, 1945, at Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville. They farmed near Whitewater all their married life, and resided 43 years in Whitewater. They had been married 57 years when Alvin passed away October 22, 2002. Nora moved to Gordonville in 2011.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville and its Ladies Aid.

Loving survivors include four sons and their spouses, Darrell and Bette (Werder) Seabaugh, Doug and Jackie (Rauh) Seabaugh, Dallas and Donna (Henson) Seabaugh, all of Jackson, Dennis and Linda (Estes) Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau; two daughters and their spouses, Janet and Harvey Loenneke of Jackson, Jennifer and Mark Landewee of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Wesley (Viola) Bock of Advance; and two sisters, Vera (Lloyd) Birk of Jackson, and Lela Hahn of Cape Girardeau.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, Daniel (Becky) Loenneke, Tim (Becky) Seabaugh, Mark (Jodi) Seabaugh, Scott Seabaugh, David (Stacy) Loenneke, Tyler Seabaugh, Dillon Landewee, Rachel (Terrence) Underwood, Cynthia Williams, Abigail (Mark) Ahrens, Kendra (Gary) Files, Staci (Kyle) Glass, Lindsey and Lauren Landewee; and 14 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Grant, Isaiah, Mallory, Paul, Hannah, Emma, Dalton, Emilie, Colton, Austin, Rowen, Wyatt, and Calen.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter and infant granddaughter, Janice and Amy Abernathy, June 14, 1977; and a grandson, Darren Seabaugh, 1975.

Friends may call Sunday, December 23, 2012, from 3 to 8 PM, at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson; and Monday, December 24, after 9 AM to time of service, at Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville.

Funeral service will be Monday, at 10 AM, at the church, with the Rev. Wayne Schwiesow officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to either the Building Fund or Scholarship Fund of Zion Lutheran Church; Southeast Hospice; or Cape Zone Lutheran Laymen’s League.
