Tommy Seabaugh, 83, of Jackson died Monday, July 5, 2010, at his home.

He was born Dec. 5, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, to Wiley Thomas and Rada Niswonger Seabaugh. He and Virginia L. Bolen were married March 7, 1947, in Cape Girardeau. She preceded him in death.

Tommy was a medical sergeant in World War II, serving in the Pacific and Okinawa.

He worked 35 years for Central Packing, 10 years for Schnucks Meat, Bowman Milling Co. and Ford Meat Market 10 years. Tom was a lifetime dedicated member of First Pentecostal Church, and was a Sunday school deacon as well as a trustee.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherry (Mike) Cissell of Eureka, Mo.; a brother, Bob Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Chris (Heather) Cissell, Tara (Cliff) Marvin, Ben (Rhondi) Cissell; and eight great-grandchildren, Mitch, Trevor, Zach, Sophia, Wyatt, Lincoln, Clara and Levi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and three sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Darrell E. Faire Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery, with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to First Pentecostal Church.
