Sebastian, Redia Edna (nee Crader)
Redia Edna Sebastian, 88, of Jackson passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Monticello House.
She was born June 27, 1926, in Whitewater, daughter of Alva and Minnie Nance Crader. She and Herbert P. Sebastian were married June 27, 1946, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit.
Redia was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She worked several years at the former Florsheim Shoe Factory in Cape Girardeau and the former Ethel's Restaurant in Jackson.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy "Dotty" (Randy) Gholson of Jackson; a foster son, Paul (Mary) Robertson of Cape Girardeau; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Sebastian White of Jackson; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-stepgranddaughter; four sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Herbert Sebastian; a son, Arthur Sebastian; four brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. with the Rev. Mark Boettcher officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
