A funeral will be held Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 for 92-year-old Dewey E. Shrum of Perryville, who died Wednesday, October 19th, 2011 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born November 10th, 1918 in Perry County, the son of Frank and May (Loberg) Shrum. They preceded him in death.
He married Ella Buff December 16th, 1937. She survives in Perryville.
Other survivors include two grandchildren, Randy Preston, Kendra Brown; and four great-grandchildren, Tyson, Colby, Chase, and Danielle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, LaVerna Preston and a brother, Howard Shrum.
Mr. Shrum had been a farmer. He was a member of the Methodist faith.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, October 21st, and from 6:30-9:50 a.m. Saturday, October 22nd at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville
A funeral for 92-year-old Dewey E. Shrum of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Dave Ramsey will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Crossroads Methodist Cemetery in Bollinger County.
Memorials are preferred to Crossroads Methodist Cemetery Fund.
