Slinkard, Katherine Elphradia (nee Whitener)
PATTON, Mo. -- Katherine Elphradia Slinkard, 90, of Marquand, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born Oct. 3, 1918, at Bernie, Mo., daughter of William E. and Nancy Schell Whitener. She and Charles M. Slinkard were married Sept. 2, 1939. He died in May 1973.
Slinkard had worked for Angelica Garment Factory as a plant supervisor and was a member of the Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Mungle of Marquand; a sister, Doris O'Bannon of Stevensville, Mont.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with the Revs. Roy Michael and Jim Richardson officiating.
Burial will be in Baker Cemetery.
