PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Donald L. "Donnie" Smith, 58, of Perryville died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, in Perryville. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. A funeral will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 for 58-year-old Donald L. "Donnie" Smith of Perryville who died January 25, 2015 in Perryville.
He was born September 7, 1956 in St. Louis, the son of Earl Joseph who preceded him in death and Juanita Mae "Sis" (Hudson) Smith Vernon who survives in Perryville.
He is also survived by a daughter: Showina Leeann Smith of Farmington; three brothers: Rocky (Rhonda) Vernon of Perryville, and Scott Smith and Kevin Smith both of Belvidere, Illinois; six sisters: Tammy (Irv) Weiler of Ste. Genevieve, Ruthie (David) Gibbs of Murphysboro, Tennessee, Robbie (Mike) Black of Aylett, Virginia and Mary Scalzitti, Julie Weatherby and April Martinez all of Rockford Illinois; two granddaughters: Katelyn Woodside of Farmington and Kaylie Woodside of Perryville. .
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Mike Vernon.
Donnie was a truck driver for Perryville Stave Co.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1263.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
A memorial service for 58-year-old Donald L. "Donnie" Smith of Perryville will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Bob Hudson will officiate. Burial will be in the Home cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to American Cancer Society.
