Smith, Jessie William "J.W."
Jessie William “J.W.” Smith, 82, of Marble Hill, MO, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Woodland Hills Nursing Home in Marble Hill.
He was born June 22, 1930, in Millersville, son of George and Lillie Newell Smith. He married Margarite Seabaugh.
J.W. attended Cape County Cowboy Church near Oak Ridge. He had worked as a truck driver for Kasten Masonry in Jackson, and was self-employed, purchasing timber to sell to area sawmills.
Loving survivors include; three daughters, Margaret Thorne, Linda (Randy) Hargraves, and Bonnie Bollinger, all of Jackson; a sister, Betty (Cline) Williamson of Cape Girardeau; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, a great-granddaughter, three brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call Friday, March 22, 2013 from 5:30 PM until service time at Cape County Cowboy Church. A memorial service will be held Friday, at 6:00 PM, at the church, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Cape County Cowboy Church.
