Smith, Virginia Mary (nee Franklin)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Virginia Mary Smith, 85, of High Ridge, Missouri, formerly of Perryville, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, in High Ridge. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2014 for 85-year-old Virginia Mary Smith of High Ridge, formerly of Perryville, who died Aug. 10, 2014 at the home of her daughter in High Ridge.
She was born Aug. 6, 1929 at Perry County, the daughter of Howard and Hilda Cissell Franklin who both preceded her in death.
She married William R. Smith on August 16, 1947 at Perryville. He preceded her in death in 2008.
She is survived by a son: Lawrence Smith of Bonne Terre; a daughter: Patricia Rutledge of High Ridge; a sister: Helen Comte of Perryville; two brothers: Howard "Donnie" Franklin of St. Louis and Clyde Franklin of St. Charles; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson: Jim Rutledge and a son in law: Jerry Rutledge.
She was a former member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer, as well as the Ladies Sodality.
She had worked for Prince Gardner.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 85-year-old Virginia Mary Smith of High Ridge, formerly of Perryville, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Rich Wehmeyer, CM, will officiate.
Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
