PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Tillie R. Sommer, 91, of Perryville died Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at Perry Oaks Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Perryville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. A VFW Auxiliary wake will be at 7 p.m. Monday, followed by an American Legion Auxiliary wake at 7:15..

Tillie R. Sommer, 91, of Perryville died August 22, 2014 at Perry Oaks Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Perryville.
She was born June 14, 1923 in Cape Girardeau, MO, daughter of Willard and Edna Mae (Trickey) Brooks. She was married to Richard W. Sommer. He preceded her in death.
Tillie had worked in the payroll department at International Shoe Company. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, American Legion Auxiliary and V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters; Judith K. (Melbourne "Bud") Bohnert, Jr. of Perryville, Janice Smith of St. Louis, two granddaughters; Dawn Coffey and Tammy Richardet of Perryville, five great grandchildren; Ashley Reid, Jesse and Justus Richardet, Camille and Derrick Bohnert and four great great-grandchildren; Brent Bohnert, Addelynne Kirn, AudreyMae Richardet and TownesLynn Richardet.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son-in-law; David Smith and one grandson; Rick Bohnert.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25 at Young & Sons Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with a V.F.W. Auxiliary Wake at 7:00 pm and American Legion Auxiliary Wake at 7:15 pm.
Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 6:30 – 8:30 am.
Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, August 26 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville at 10:00 am with Rev. Thomas Handrick officiating. Burial in the Church Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran School or Men’s Choir.
