Funeral service was held Monday, September 24, 2001 for 83-year-old Anthony M. "Tony" Stark of Perryville who died Friday, Sept. 21 at his residence.
He was born on September 11, 1918 in Biehle, Mo., the son of the late Edgar and Catherine (Braun) Stark.
He was married to Thelma Marie Schulte. She preceded him in death in 1966.
He was then married to Anna Richardet Moonier in 1985. She survives in Perryville.
One daughter and son and law survive, Nancy and Charles Bullock of Perryville.
One sister, Dellora Wibbenmeyer, survives in Perryville.
Four grandchildren, Paula Schnurbusch, Amy, Chad and Dustin Winkler, and two grandchildren, Kaleb and Kaitlyn Schnurbusch also survive.
One son, James (Jimmy) Stark, one daughter, Bonnie Stark, two brothers, Conway and Harold Stark, and one sister, Leona Sauer preceded him death.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, VFW and The Western Catholic Union.
Visitation was Sunday, Sept. 23 from 4-9 p.m. and on Monday, Sept. 24, from 6:30-9:45 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home. Catholic wake was Sunday at 7 p.m.; VFW Post 4282 met at 7:20 p.m.
Funeral Mass for Anthony M. "Tony" Stark was held Monday, Sept. 24, 2001 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Joe Williams officiated. Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery. American Legion Post 133 provided military graveside service.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
