Statler, Alex D.
Alex D. Statler, 77 years old, of Perryville, died Saturday (note: this was Sept 4th 1982) at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 7, 1905 in Bollinger County, son of Sam and Effie Statler.
Mr. Statler was a retired shoe factory worker. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
On May 9, 1935, he married the former Zelma Bollinger. She survives, along with a brother, Dewey Statler, Sedgewickville, and two sisters, Mrs. Reva Bangert and Mrs. Della Loberg, both of Sedgewickville.
A brother, Clarence Statler, preceded him in death.
Service was held at 2 p.m., Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, with Rev. Larry Gallamore officiating. Burial was in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
