Statler, Arthur D.
Arthur D. Statler of Perryville, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 1996 at Perry Oaks Health Center. He was 83.
He was born on Nov. 19, 1912 in Lixville, the son of the late Barney C. and Mary J. (Fellows) Statler.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce A. Besand of Perryville; one grandson, Jeff Besand of Jackson and one grandaughter, Karen Markwell of Wichita, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Grace Laiben.
He was a glass cutter at Pittsburg Glass Co. and a member of Sedgewickville Methodist Church. The family prefers memorials to be made to the Humane Society or to the American Diabetes Association.
The funeral service was held on Wednesday, Aug 28 at 11 a.m. at the Sedgewickville Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Davis officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Young and Sons Funeral Home, in Perryville provided the arrangements.
