Allie B. Statler of Jackson, Mo., was born Jan. 31, 1883 near Sedgewickville, Mo., and passed away Oct. 18, 1973 at 11 pm at Deal Nursing Home, where she had been a resident since May. She was 90 years old and had been in failing health for the past five years.
She was united in marriage Dec. 15, 1907 to Chi Statler; who preceded her in death May 19, 1948. The couple resided on a farm near Sedgewickville all their married life and since 1948, Mrs. Statler lived with her children.
She was a lifelong member of the Sedgewickville United Methodist Church and lived a devoted Christian life.
Surviving are: two sons, Rev. Coy Statler of Advance, Mo. and Thurman Statler of Arvada, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Willard (Della) Talley and Mrs. Harry (Carrie) Talley, both of Jackson; three brothers, Rev. Fred Statler and Theodore Statler, St. Louis, and Clyde Statler, Millersville; four sisters, Mrs. Blanche Statler, Millersville, Mo., Mrs. Maude Cobern, St. Louis, Mrs. Dora Garrison, Cape Girardeau, MO.,Mrs. O. E. (Dessie) Bollinger, Millersville, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
Funeral services were held sun., Oct. 21 at 2 pm at the Sedgewickville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Donald Blaylock of Maplewood, Mo. and Rev. Harry Hunt from Jackson, Mo. Burial was in the Sedgewickville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were the grandsons, Don Talley and Bob Talley of Cape Girardeau; Paul Statler of Columbia, Mo.; Carl Talley of Jackson, MO., Larry Talley of Jackson and a grandson-in-law Charles Phillips of Colo.
