Statler, Lula V. (nee Cook)
Lula V. Statler age 85, of Perryville, MO; passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born December 24, 1928 in Mayfield, MO; daughter of Marion Amon and Gracie Mae Angle Cook.
She married Doc Jewell Statler on December 15, 1945 and he passed away on February 9, 1993.
Lula worked in the Home Health Industry and was of the General Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her son Tom Statler of Sedgewickville, daughter Doris Myers of Patton, brother Billy J. C. Cook of Chaffee, MO; sisters Louise Hanners and Mary Ellen Robinson of Marble Hill; Betty Crites of Valley Park, MO; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Jimmy Statler, brothers Gordon, Elbert, Larry Cook, two infant brothers, an infant sister and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2014 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
Funeral Services will be Monday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Fulbright officiating.
Interment will follow in the Pulliam Cemetery near Patton.
