Mrs. Mary Mae Statler, 71, of the Crossroads community, died April 2, 1986, in Hereford, Texas. She was born in Perry County April 13, 1914, a daughter of the late James and Rosa Myer Shrum. Her husband, Everett Statler, died July 1, 1985. They were married Sept. 3, 1932.
Surviving are a son, the Rev. Everett Statler, Jr. of Shallowater, Texas; a daughter, Lois Overbeck of Chaffee; a brother, the Rev. Fred Shrum of Sedgewickville; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Blaylock and Mrs. Hazel Yamnitz, both of Perryville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 5 at 3 p.m. at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville with the Rev. Howard Miller officiating. Burial was in the Methodist Cemetery at Crossroads.
An Order of Eastern Star service was held at 2 p.m. April 5, at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville.
