Statler, Roy Edward
Roy Edward Statler of 104 Zeno St., Perryville died October 30, 1987 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was 72.
He was born on June 21, 1915 in Bollinger County, the son of Will and Flora (Vernon) Statler. He was married on August 8, 1948 to Gladys Leach, who survives.
Other survivors include two children, Bob Statler, Cahokia, IL and Shirley Spivey, Granite City, IL; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. One son and one great-grandchild preceded him in death.
Funeral services were Monday, Nov 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Burial was in the Home Cemetery. Young and Sons Funeral Home provided the arrangements.
