A private funeral will be held for 72-year-old Rynor Leigh Stratton of Cape Girardeau, who died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Missouri Veterans Home.
He was born June 26, 1934, in Sabetha, Kan., son of Riley and Nora Baker Stratton who both preceded him in death.
He married Sandra Pendleton Sept. 20, 1957, in Lawrence, Kansas. She survives in Biehle.
He was in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1960 and served in Germany from 1958 to 1960. He was a member of AOPA, was an honor graduate from Washington University in St. Louis, and had worked at McDonnell Douglas and Sabreliner Corp.
He is also survived by two sons, Douglas Stratton of St. Charles and Matthew Stratton of Mooresville, North Carolina; two daughters, Letha Young of Rolla and Valerie Harvell of Biehle; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Private family service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Washington University Medical Research.
