A funeral will be held Saturday, May 25th, 2002 for Dorothy R. (Leible) Sutterer of Cape Girardeau, who died Wednesday, May 22nd at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 13th, 1924 in Perryville, the daughter of Frank and Cary (Tucker) Cissell who both preceded her in death.

She married Cletus Leible on July 6th, 1945. He preceded her in death.

She married Wallace Sutterer on January 2nd, 1993. He survives in Perryville.

She is also survived by two daughters and one son in law: Diann and David Lane of Appleton, Wisconsin and Janet Clifton of Perryville.

One son and daughter in law also survive: David and Mary Leible of Perryville.

She is also survived by four stepdaughters, Kathleen Fail of St. Peters, Linda Allen of St. Peters, Mary Roper of St. Peters and Margie Markway of Perryville.

Six grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: William and Lawrence Cissell; seven sisters, Hester Layton, Hilda Franklin, Grace Morgan, Theresa Moore, Lenora Funck, Ada Hill and Little Theresa Cissell and one son in law Clifford "Junior" Clifton.

She was a retired secretary for the International Shoe Co. and was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Friday, May 24th and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 25th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A Catholic wake will be held at 6 p.m. Friday and the rosary will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, both at the funeral home.

A funeral mass for 78-year-old Dorothy R. (Leible) Sutterer will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz, C.M., will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Research, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
