PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Elfrieda C. Sutterer, 90, of Perryville died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Friday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

A funeral will be held Saturday, February 5, 2011 for 90-year-old Elfrieda C. Sutterer of Perryville, who died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born October 7, 1920 in Old Appleton, the daughter of Leo and Anna (Ponder) Buchheit. They preceded her in death.

She married Ralph Sutterer October 3, 1940 in Perryville. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Barbara (Allen) Klump, Virginia (Stanley) Schweiss, all of St. Louis; three sons and two daughters in law, all from Perryville, James (Velma) Sutterer, Thomas Sutterer, Dennis (Joyce) Sutterer; three brothers and sisters in law, Herbert (Laverne) Buchheit of Perryville, Linus (Bernetta) Buchheit of Washington, IN, Marty (Henrietta) Buchheit of St. Louis; a sister and brother in law, Theresa (Ralph) Wibbenmeyer of Old Appleton; 23 Grandchildren, 36 Great Grandchildren, eight Step Great Grandchildren, two Step Great Great Grandchildren, one Great Great Grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, four brothers, one son-Richard Sutterer, and one grandson Christopher Klump.

Mrs. Sutterer was a homemaker, and also worked at International Shoe Company in the fitting department. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. She was a member of the Ladies Sodality serving as President for 6 years, the St. Vincent Quilters, and the Western Catholic Union which she served as the recording secretary. She was also a blood donor for the Red Cross, and a member of the Senior Citizens Center.

Visitation will be from 5-9:00pm on Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville, Parish Wake Service at 7:00pm. Visitation will be from 6:30am-9:50am on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011. Funeral Mass at 10:00am Saturday, Feb. 5 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Rev. Joe Williams, CM officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials to The St. Vincent de Paul Endowment Fund, Masses, Birthright, or the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Cape.
