Sutton, Thelma Vesta (nee Loberg)

Thelma V. Sutton, 87, of Tucson, Ariz., passed away peacefully Sunday, May 27, 2012, in Tucson.

She was born Jan. 21, 1925, at Sedgewickville, Mo., to Jesse and Metta Loberg.

Thelma is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, retired Lt. Col. Alvin I. Sutton; a loving sister, Maxine Fellows and husband Edward of Jackson. She and Al were blessed with five children, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Denver and Gene.

Thelma had numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and friends, all very dear to her. She loved looking at everyone's photos and sharing with all who visited.

She lived an adventurous, full life traveling many places as an Air Force wife, enjoying her children and watching them grow. She enjoyed their summer home in the White Mountains of Arizona many years.

All who knew Thelma will always remember her loving, kind, helpful, soft-spoken way. We are thankful for all she taught us and for all the memories.
