PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Doris M. Taylor, 85, of Perryville died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The Catholic wake will be at 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jim French officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery...

A funeral will be held Friday, January 31, 2014 for 85-year-old Doris M. Taylor of Perryville who passed away January 28, 2014.

She was born April 20, 1928 in Atlantic, Iowa, the daughter of Forest and Beatrice (Huffman) Kelley

She was raised in Sedalia.

She married Val Taylor on February 7, 1948. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1995.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Rodney (Blanca) Taylor of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Chuck (Denise) Taylor of Perryville and Melissa Taylor of St. Louis; two sisters and a brother; Norma (Fred) Castellaneta of Kansas City, Kansas, Joyce (Ray) Smith of Sedalia and Donald (Pauline) Kelley of Kansas City, Kansas; four grandchildren: Chris Taylor and Chad Taylor of Perryville, Nancy and Nicki Taylor of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

She was also preceded in death by a son: Jeff; two brothers: Robert and Jerry Kelley and a sister: Sharon Kelley.

She and her husband owned Taylor Fabric House and she was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She volunteered at the thrift store and liked to go dancing.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014 and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at Young & Sons Funeral Home. A Catholic Wake will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday.

A funeral for 85-year-old Doris M. Taylor of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Jim French will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to American Stroke Association.
