Taylor, Hubert Joseph
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Hubert Joseph Taylor, 95, of Perryville died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at his home.
He was born Feb. 12, 1916, in Perry County, son of John and Ora E. Johnson Taylor. He and Helen Mary Christisen were married Sept. 24, 1940, at Sereno, Mo. She preceded him in death April 27, 1999.
Taylor was a farmer. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Wayne Taylor of Perryville; six daughters, Mary Jane (Larry) Brotherton of Marquand, Mo., Joan (Ron) Gebhardt of Perryville, Nancy (Richard) Wilfong of Cedar Hill, Mo., Diana (Eddie) Yamnitz of Patton, Mo., Janice (Ken) Schnurbusch of O'Fallon, Mo., Sharon Shamin of St. Louis; two brothers, Clyde and Eugene Taylor of Perryville; 27 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and 6:30 to 10:50 a.m. Thursday at Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Perryville. The Rev. Milton Ryan will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul School Endowment Fund.
