Tayon, Euline Marie (nee Boxdorfer)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Euline Marie Tayon, 73, of Perryville died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 15, 1934, in Perry County, daughter of George E. and Marie E. Hoffman Boxdorfer. She and Arthur J. Tayon were married March 5, 1953.
Tayon retired as a secretary from Venture Stores Executive Office. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Perry County Historical Society. She organized the first Southeast Missouri Senior Olympics. She was a former PTL secretary, Girl Scout leader and Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Craig Tayon of Belleville, Ill.; two daughters, Kathleen Adams of St. Ann, Mo., Lisa Manetz of Perryville; two brothers, Steven and Keith Boxdorfer of Perryville; four sisters, Betty Brannon and Goldie Panhorst of St. Louis, Juanita Gore of Wright City, Mo., Sandra Glaub of Malden, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister and a brother.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

A funeral will be held Saturday, November 24th, 2007 for 73-year-old Euline Marie Tayon of Perryville, who died Monday, November 19th at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born September 15th, 1934 in Perry County, the daughter of George E. and Marie E. (Hoffman) Boxdorfer, who both preceded her in death.
She married Arthur J. Tayon on March 5th, 1953. He survives in Perryville.
She is also survived by a son and daughter in law, Craig and Dawn Tayon of Belleville, Illinois; two daughters and a son in law, Kathleen A. Adams of St. Ann and Lisa and Ronald Manetz of Perryville; two brothers; Steven L. Boxdorfer and Keith A. Boxdorfer, both of Perryville; four sisters and three brothers in law, Betty Brannon of St. Louis, Goldie A. and Frank Panhorst of St. Louis, Juanita M. and Robert Gore of Wright City and Sandra S. and Robert Glaub of Malden; and five grandchildren, Donnie Stieger, Angie Stieger, Justin Tayon, Ryan Manetz and Leyna Tayon.
She was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Marcella and a brother, Marvin.
She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Perry County Historical Society, Past PTL Secretary, Past Girl Scout Leader and Past Sunday School Teacher. She organized the first Southeast Missouri Senior Olympics.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Friday, November 23rd and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Saturday, November 24th.
A funeral for 73-year-old Euline Marie Tayon of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 24th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran radio broadcast or to the church.
