Thieret, Geraldine W. (nee Van Dyne)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Geraldine W. Thieret, 82, of Perryville, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, in St. Louis.
She was born Sept. 7, 1926, at Coffeyville, Kan, daughter of Alex and Elta Malcom Van Dyne. She and Lloyd Thieret Sr. were married Feb 12, 1944, in Independence, Kan. He died Feb. 21, 2008.
Thieret was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Survivors include six sons, Lloyd Thieret Jr. of St. Louis, Larry Thieret, Ronald Thieret, Donald Thieret and Stephen Thieret, all of Perryville, and Tommy Thieret of Farmington, Mo.; four daughters, Judy Lukefahr of Ironton, Mo., Nancy Lee and Donna Jones, both of Rolla, Mo., and Linda Blechle of Perryville; two brothers, Robert Van Dyne of Salina, Kan., and Kenneth Van Dyne of Shawnee, Okla.; two sisters, Virginia Giles of Brandon, Ore., and Marjorie Smart of Irving, Texas; 22 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish wake service will be at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Tuesday. The Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Joe Williams will officiate, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
