Thompson, Esther (nee Hamblin)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Esther Thompson, 80, of Perryville died Sunday, June 19, 2011, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Perryville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and 6:30 a.m. to service time Thursday at Miller Family Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.

A funeral will be held Thursday, June 23, 2011 for 80-year-old Esther Thompson of Perryville who died June 19, 2011 at the Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Perryville.
She was born July 11, 1930 in Union County, Tennessee, the daughter of William Hamblin and Mamie Dale Goggans Hamblin
She married Shorty Thompson on Sept 30, 1972 in Chester, Illinois. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons: David (Mary) Staggs of Perryville and John (Sandy) Staggs- of Perryville; a daughter: Linda (Howard) Hall of Sedgewickville; a sister: Clyte Hammond of Ferguson; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, four brothers, and one granddaughter
She worked as a nursing assistant at area nursing homes.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011 and 6:30-11 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 80-year-old Esther Thompson of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bro. John Chamness will officiate. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery.
