BREWER, Mo. -- Madeline Rose Thomure, 80, of Brewer died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville, Mo. She was born June 27, 1922, at Kaskaskia Island, Ill., daughter of Roy and Millie Layton Pecaut. She and Paul J. "Tobe" Thomure were married Jan. 21, 1941, in St. Louis...

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002 for 80-year-old Madeline Rose Thomure of Brewer who died Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born on June 27, 1922 in Kaskaskia Island, Ill, the daughter of the late Roy and Millie (Layton) Pecaut.

She was married to Paul J. "Tobe" Thomure on Jan. 21, 1941. He survives in Brewer.

Two children survive, Mary K. Stewart of St. Charles; and Robert B. Thomure of St. Louis.

One sister, Lucille Ratcliff, survives in Brewer.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

One son, Joseph, six brothers, and one sister, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Thomure had been a factory worker. She was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church on Brewer and a member of the Ladies Sodality.

Visitation will be from 4:00-9:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish wake service will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday. Visitation will also be from 6:30-11:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.

Funeral Mass for Madeline Rose Thomure will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. at Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer. Rev. Felipe Martinez, C.M. will officiate. Burial will be St. Mary’s Cemetery in St. Mary, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to masses or to the American Cancer Society.
