Treadway, William Franklin "Bill"

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- William Franklin "Bill" Treadway, 82, of Chaffee went to heaven Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, from his home with his family by his side.

He was born Sept. 24, 1931, at Dexter, Mo., the son of Homer and Violet Rose Long Treadway. He and Rachel Ann Gregory were married June 7, 1952, at Piggott, Ark., and renewed their vows at the Chaffee General Baptist Church 50 years later.

Bill was a corporal in the Army, serving during the Korean War. He was employed as a lineman and electrician for 30 years with Missouri Utilities and Union Electric. He also worked from his home as a mechanic, electrician, carpenter and more. He attended Chaffee General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; four daughters, Sandy (Joe) Blann of Texarkana, Ark., Pam Cooper of Chaffee, Teresa (Wesley) Kinder of Randles, Mo., and Donna (Troy) Bollinger of Bonne Terre, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Rachel (Jeff) Hardin of Texarkana, Josh (Heather) Leible of Texarkana, Shannon Blann of Texarkana, Shawn (Rebecca) Kinder of Whitewater, Lance (Kendra) Kinder of Oran, Mo., Mandi Bollinger of Cape Girardeau, Jacob Bollinger of Bonne Terre and Mamie Cooper of Chaffee; 10 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Zack, Laykin, Garrett, Lainey, Morgan, Korbin, Rowan, Jacobie and Malaki; four sisters, Jo Stinson of Wappapello, Mo., Mae Pope of Essex, Mo., Faye Fortune of Newburg, Ind., and Norma Nash of Marshfield, Mo.; and a brother, Wayne Treadway of Livingston, Texas.

Grandpa was able to have a glorious reunion with his grandson Dustin Cooper, who was waiting for him in heaven. He also was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gene Treadway.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bob Lewis officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
