Tucker, Shirley Jean (nee Crites)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Shirley Jean Tucker, 79, of Perryville died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 12, 1935, in Cape Girardeau, to Lale and Clola Propst Crites. She married Gene Tucker on July 26, 1980, in Evansville, Indiana.
Shirley was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include her husband, Gene Tucker of Perryville; children, Robin Eggemeyer-Usher of Chester, Illinois, Barbara Tucker of Columbia, Missouri, Mitchell Eggemeyer of Chester, Eugene Tucker of Patton, Missouri, James Tucker of Brewer, Missouri, and Jerry Tucker of Perryville; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of service Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society or PAWS.
