Turnbough, Evelyn C. (nee Eichorn)
A funeral will be held Friday, April 14, 2000, for 79-year-old Evelyn C. Turnbough of Jackson who died today, Wednesday, April 12th, at St. Francis Medical Center in Jackson.
She was born July 31st, 1921 in Crosstown, the daughter of John and Dora Kistner Eichorn who both preceded in death.
She married Arthur "Art" Turnbough on October 8th, 1940. He preceded in death.
Three sons survive her: Glen Turnbough and James Turnbough, both of Jackson and Kenneth Turnbough of Perryville.
Five daughters also survive her: Janet Meyer, Bonnie Geringer and Mary Ann Zoellner, all of Perryville, Joyce Reimer of Chester and Carol Wahlers of Jackson.
One brother survives, Ernst Eichorn of Belleville, Illinois.
Seventeen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive.
One daughter, a sister and a granddaughter also preceded her in death.
She was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church in Crosstown and transferred her membership to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson when she moved from Fruitland to Jackson in 1991.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson and at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson after 9:30 a.m. Friday.
A funeral for 79-year-old Evelyn C. Turnbough of Jackson will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. Burial will be in the Russell Heights Cemetery. The Rev. David Johnson will officiate.
