Unterreiner, Laura Celeste (nee Guyot)
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999 for 88-year-old Laura C. (Polly) Unterreiner of Perryville who died Sunday at Perry County Nursing Home.
She was born on April 23, 1911 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Henry J. and Helena Huffman Guuot.
She was married to Sylvester R. (Sonny) Unterreiner. He preceded her in death.
Children surviving are:
Dorothy Fluegel of Perryville; Ruth Wood of Aurora, Mo.; and David, Joe and Thomas Unterreiner, all of Perryville.
Two brothers and two sisters survive: Alberta Hill of Desmoines, Iowa; Rita Balsman of Perryville; and Rev. Gilmore Guyot C.M. and Merlin Guyot, both of Perryville.
Twenty-three grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 33 great-great-grandchildren , four step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in deathy by one sister and one brother.
Mrs. Unterreiner had been a secretary for the Association of the Miraculous Medal Office in Perryville until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul parish, Daughters of Isabella, Ladies of Charity, a past member of the K of C Auxiliary, and a volunteer at Perry County Nursing Home.
Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish wak service with the D of I will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation also on Wednesday from 6:30-9:50 a.m.. The rosary will be recited Wednesday at 9 a.m.
Funeal Mass for Laura C. Unterreiner will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Rev. Charles Shelby, C.M. officiating. Burial in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
