Versheldon, Elizabeth M. "Sis"
A funeral will be held Saturday, July 21st, 2001 for 95-year-old Elizabeth M. "Sis" Versheldon of Perryville, who died Wednesday, July 18th, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 23rd, 1906 in Perry County, the daughter of August and Anna M. (Gotto) Versheldon, who both preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John T. and Shirley Versheldon of Perryville.
She is also survived by a brother, William "Bill" Versheldon and a sister, Lucille Young, both of Perryville. One grandson and one great-granddaughter also survive.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Carroll and Bernard Versheldon and four sisters, Edna Versheldon, Mary Versheldon, Sister Augustine Versheldon and Agnes Bauwens.
She was a retired worker from International Shoe and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday, July 20th and from 6:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21st at the Young and Sons Funeral Chapel. A Parish Wake will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday and the Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel.
A funeral mass for 95-year-old Elizabeth "Sis" Versheldon will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21st at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Reverend Kevin Fausz CM officiating.
Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to family use.
