Ward, Freda (nee Miinch)
PATTON, Mo. -- Freda Ward, 94, of Patton passed away Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at the Stockoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown, Mo.
She was born May 8, 1917, in Patton, daughter of John and Carrie Stanfill Miinch. She and George Alexander Ward were united in marriage Sept. 22, 1934, and he passed away Aug. 23, 2000.
Freda was a member of the Pine Hill Methodist Church, a member of the Blue Creek Quilters Club and had worked for Brown Shoe Co.
She is survived by a son, Dick Ward of Williamson, Ga.; a daughter, Sandra Smith of Patton; a sister, Clela White of New Florence, Mo.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Lowell Miinch; and a sister, Gleta Fulton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p. m. Monday at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Pine Hill Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Eisenhauer officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
