Watson, Eula S. "Judy" Masterson (nee McLain)
Eula S. "Judy" McLain Masterson Watson, 85, of Bakersfield, Calif., passed away Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, in Bakersfield.
She was born June 5, 1918, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles A. and Avia E. Slinkard McLain. She married William H. Masterson in 1939. He passed away in 1967. She then married Dewey Watson in 1975. He passed away in 1989.
Eula worked in retail sales at Newberry's in Benton Park 13 years.
She is survived by a son, Don (Dolly) Masterson; a daughter, Jean Ann (James) West, all of Bakersfield; four grandchildren, David West, Angela Ott, Lisa Heaton and Don Masterson Jr.; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a niece, Nora Reynolds Zimmer; a nephew, Michael S. Reynolds; and cousins, Helen Maintz and Becky Illers.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie McLain Reynolds; and her parents.
A graveside service was Oct. 2 with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Bakersfield.
Greenlawn Mortuary and Cemetery in Bakersfield was in charge of arrangements.
